Publishing and advertising standards

Free Computer Games is built as a curated publication, not an unreviewed directory. Akelas Enterprises checks each title, writes the surrounding player guidance, and keeps responsibility for what appears on the site.
What we check before publication
- The game launches from its published page and reaches a playable state.
- The listed keyboard, mouse, or touch controls match the game.
- The title has a coherent play loop and does not rely on a false download or unavailable destination.
- We have developed the game or have a legitimate distribution right to present it.
- The page identifies the provider when a game is supplied by a third party.
What we add for players
Each published page includes an original summary, control instructions, a first-run walkthrough, strategy notes, platform and input information, expected session length, difficulty guidance, and an explanation of browser-save support. We update or remove a title when those details stop matching the playable build.
Advertising safeguards
Advertising is kept visually distinct from menus, Play buttons, downloads, game canvases, and other interactive controls. We do not ask visitors to click ads, exchange gameplay benefits for ordinary ad clicks, disguise ads as navigation, or generate artificial traffic. Rewarded advertising inside a game, if offered by an approved provider, is voluntary and grants a disclosed in-game benefit only after that provider confirms completion.
Privacy and age limits
The site does not require a player account. The site-wide 18+ confirmation is a self-declaration and is stored only for the current browser session. Advertising and analytics are enabled only with the applicable publisher configuration and regional consent controls.
Corrections and rights concerns
Players, developers, and rights holders can report an inaccurate description, broken game, licensing concern, or unsafe implementation through our contact page. We review credible reports and may correct, restrict, or remove material while investigating.
